Cross-Exchange

Trading Rules

Cross-Exchange markets follow the rules of the venue they are routed to. The values below apply to every Cross-Exchange market unless the market shows otherwise.

Margin and Leverage

  • Positions are isolated. Each position's margin is separate.
  • Maximum leverage is set per market by the venue and shown in the leverage selector. Leverage is a whole number.
  • Margin can be added to or removed from an open position. A position must keep at least the larger of its size divided by its leverage, or 10% of its size. On strict-isolated markets, margin cannot be removed.
  • Added margin comes from your Cross-Exchange balance first, then your wallet, with the same routing cost as opening. If wallet funds do not arrive, no margin is added and the funds stay in your Cross-Exchange balance.

Fees

Fees are taken from the fill. There is no gas and no execution fee.

Rate
LeverUp fee0.1% of position size
Venue feeSet by the venue per market and account; shown before you confirm

The total is shown in the trade panel and the confirmation dialog. Opening with funds moved from your wallet adds a routing cost — see Funding & Withdrawals.

Funding

Funding is settled hourly between longs and shorts at the venue's rate. A positive rate means longs pay shorts. The current rate and the countdown to the next settlement are shown in the market header.

Liquidation

A position is liquidated when its margin falls below the maintenance requirement, which is half of the initial margin at the market's maximum leverage. The estimated liquidation price is shown before you confirm and on the open position.

Liquidation is executed by the venue

Liquidation price, timing and handling follow the venue's rules. LeverUp's pool liquidation and auto-deleveraging rules do not apply.
