Cross-Exchange Markets
Cross-Exchange markets are perpetual markets routed through the LeverUp Perps aggregator. Orders are filled on an external order book instead of against the LeverUp pool, so price, depth, trading hours and limits follow that venue.
Identifying a Cross-Exchange Market
- A blue dot on the market icon marks a Cross-Exchange market.
- In the market list, these markets are tagged Cross-Exchange.
- The first time you select one, a Cross-Exchange Market dialog summarises how it works. Select Got it to continue.
Compared with Pool Markets
| Pool markets | Cross-Exchange markets | |
|---|---|---|
| Order matching | LeverUp pool, Pyth oracle prices | External order book |
| Margin | The collateral token you pay with | USDC held in your Cross-Exchange balance |
| Gas | None with 1CT | None for orders, which are signed off-chain. Setup and wallet top-ups pay Monad gas. |
| Fees | See Fee Overview | Venue fee + LeverUp fee, taken from the fill |
| Hours, leverage caps, open interest limits | Set by LeverUp | Set by the venue |
Your Cross-Exchange Balance
Cross-Exchange markets use a separate USDC balance. Your pool positions and wallet balances are not affected by it. Funds in this balance can be withdrawn to your wallet at any time, except the margin backing open positions. Withdrawing requires this device to be set up for Cross-Exchange.
You do not have to deposit in advance. If your Cross-Exchange balance is short when you open a position, the difference is moved from your wallet as part of opening it — see Funding & Withdrawals.
Getting Started
- Set up your Cross-Exchange account — one signature and one transaction, which also enables One-Click Trading.
- Fund it — deposit, or open a position directly from your wallet.
- Review the trading rules — order types, minimums and fees.
