Cross-Exchange

Funding & Withdrawals

Cross-Exchange positions are margined in USDC held in your Cross-Exchange balance. There are two ways to fund it: deposit in advance, or open a position directly and let the shortfall be moved from your wallet.

Available Balance

The Available figure on a Cross-Exchange market is the sum of:

  • the free USDC in your Cross-Exchange balance, and
  • the USD value of the selected pay token in your wallet.

Margin already committed to open positions is not included.

Depositing

Open Deposit from the Balance tab or the wallet menu. Deposit is available once your account is set up; until then, the Balance tab and wallet menu offer setup instead.

Supported tokensUSDC, USDT0, MON, LVUSD, LVMON, AUSD, mUSD, WETH, WBTC, cbBTC, LBTC, shMON and selected ecosystem tokens
ConversionUSDC is transferred as it is. Every other token, including USDT0, is sold for USDC at market price on Monad first.
Minimum20 USDC. For USDC and other dollar stablecoins, the amount entered must be at least 20. For other tokens, the quoted amount that arrives must be at least 20 USDC; the form shows the equivalent minimum in your token.
Amount inputFor tokens other than stablecoins, the amount can be entered in USD and is converted to the token amount sent
Wallet stepsApprove the token (once), then send from Monad
Typical timeUnder one minute

The quote shows the amount sold (for tokens other than USDC), the amount you receive, the bridge cost as a percentage, the guaranteed minimum, and the estimated time. If a transfer fails, the funds are returned to your wallet on Monad.

Depositing a Non-USDC Token

Depositing any token other than USDC sells it for USDC at market price. You hold USDC afterwards, not the original token. The deposit form states this above the quote, with an acknowledgement that is ticked by default; the deposit cannot be sent while it is unticked.

Opening a Position Without Depositing

When you open a position and your Cross-Exchange balance is short, the difference is moved from your wallet before the order is placed.

  1. Required amount — margin plus the opening fee (venue fee + LeverUp fee on the position size).
  2. Shortfall — the required amount minus your free Cross-Exchange balance. Transfers have a minimum of 1 USDC; anything above the shortfall stays in your Cross-Exchange balance.
  3. Transfer — the shortfall is routed from your wallet to your Cross-Exchange balance. Routing costs about 0.5% plus a small flat fee, and are added to the amount sent.
  4. Order — the position is opened once the funds arrive, usually within seconds.

The trade button shows the current step: Confirm in your wallet, Preparing your margin…, then Opening….

If you select the full balance, the position is sized down to what remains after fees.

Opening with a Non-USDC Token

When the pay token is not USDC — for example MON, LVMON or LVUSD — opening a position sells that token for USDC.

  1. The required amount of the token is sold for USDC at the routed price.
  2. The USDC is transferred to your Cross-Exchange balance.
  3. The position is opened in USDC.

The confirmation dialog shows the estimated amount sold and the USDC it is expected to produce. The amount actually sold is fixed when the route is quoted at submission and can be slightly higher than the estimate, to cover routing costs.

The confirmation dialog includes an acknowledgement that is ticked by default. The order cannot be placed while it is unticked. The first time, the dialog is shown even if you have turned off order confirmations.

The sale is not reversed when the position closes

The token is sold when the position opens. Closing the position returns USDC to your Cross-Exchange balance, not the original token, and you no longer hold exposure to the token you sold.

Approvals

ERC-20 tokens need a one-time approval. MON does not. With One-Click Trading enabled, eligible top-ups are sent without a wallet prompt. MON top-ups always ask for a wallet confirmation.

If the Transfer Does Not Complete

  • Funds do not arrive within 90 seconds — the position is not opened. The funds continue to your Cross-Exchange balance and can be used for the next order or withdrawn.
  • No route is available — nothing is sent. Try again shortly.
  • Wallet prompt rejected — nothing is sent and no order is placed.

Withdrawing

Open Withdraw from the Balance tab or the wallet menu. Funds are sent to your own wallet on Monad, usually within seconds. No wallet signature is required, but this device must be set up for Cross-Exchange.

WithdrawableFree balance only. Margin backing open positions cannot be withdrawn.
Routing costAbout $0.02 plus 0.02%
Account activationA one-time fee of about 1 USDC on the account's first withdrawal, charged by the venue

Pool Markets and Your Cross-Exchange Balance

When you open a pool market position with USDC and your wallet is short, USDC can be brought back from your Cross-Exchange balance as part of opening it. If it has not arrived within 60 seconds, the position is not opened and the USDC continues to your wallet.
